Photographers comment: The photo was taken in the tactical Low Flying Area 7 from an elevated vantage point on the East side of a valley entrance. It captures the aircraft for the brief second it was head on to me as it makes it turn into the valley.
I had gone there with the intention of getting this very shot and had expected it would be a local Hawk T1 from RAF Valley in the frame but it turned out to be a Dominie that provided me with my shot!
The photo was shot with a Canon 1D Mark II, Sigma 300 f/2.8 and a Canon 1.4x TC. The settings were ISO 200, f/6.3, 1/1000s and shutter priority.
